Go to http://www.npr.org/series/4516989/storycorps. Read one (1) case from this website (not the main NPR website) that was published within the last two (2) months that focuses on individuals with major adjustment issues. Choose wisely based on the questions you need to answer for the assignment.
Use at least four (4) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia, About.com, and other similar websites do not qualify as academic resources. Your selected article (1) is a source and your textbook should be used as a source. So only two additional academic sources are required for a total of four (4) sources.
Write a three to six (3-6) page paper as follows:
Paragraphs 1-2: Introduce case. Provide a summary of the case as presented in StoryCorps. DO NOT copy information word for word from the case to use in your summary. Your summary should highlight the main points of the case in your own words.Paragraphs 3-4: Describe the major adjustment issues experienced by the individual or individuals in your chosen case. To what did each individual have to adjust?Paragraphs 5-6: Examine at least three (3) evidence-based strategies that could help the individuals in your chosen case enhance their adjustment skills. Evidence-based strategies are strategies that have been researched and shown to be effective. You can find these strategies throughout the chapters in your textbook, as well as in other reputable resources (like journal articles). Remember to cite your source using APA style (see below for examples)!
- Paragraphs 7-8: Recommend the evidence-based strategy that is best suited (in your opinion) for the people in your chosen case. Explain why you believe the strategy you chose is the best one to help the individuals adjust.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
