Using a grand theory and theorist from last week from the Discussion Board (yours or one of your peers), propose a middle-range theory where you apply it to a population you work with and a practice problem you experience. Be brief and simple.

Example: You are a community-based maternal/child RN who performs home visits. Sometimes your clients have experienced physical or emotional trauma during the birthing process. Your response can simply look like this:

Patient/client population and problem: Postpartum women who have experienced physical or emotional trauma during the birthing process
My Middle-range theory: Self-Care Deficit in Postpartum Women Who Experienced Birth Trauma
Applying it: focuses on assessing her agency (ability to care for herself) and self-care needs demands and functioning (self: sleep/rest, nutrition, birthing related injuries: baby care, other children or demands). Develop nursing interventions to address the deficit in between (engage social network if available).
