on how to approach the
Individual
assignment
Format of Paper
a.
Type your essay: use 12 point font, 1.5 or double spacing and
one side of the paper only. Leave at
least 2.54 cm margins each side of the page to allow for assessor comments.
b.
Use a separate title page:/ Cover sheet including the name of the Faculty and School,
the name and number of the unit, the title of the essay, your name, your
student ID number, and the date of submission.
c.
Place the text of your essay after the title page (each
page should be numbered).
d.
Structure your essay as a continuous piece of writing (headings
can be used in combination essay/report) which consists of an
introduction, body and conclusion.
e.
Include a properly formatted list of references.
Introduction to scope
and purpose of the assignment.
Scope: Show the reader what you are doing? What are the limitations
(time, size of project, access to research?).
Purpose: Why are you doing it?
Biography
Give a brief background of yourself for the reader to set the scene.
What is personality? Use the literature and references to support the definition. See
the following example:
Performance Management is
defined by DeCieri and Kramer (2008, p343) as ‘the process through which
managers ensure that employees activities and outputs are congruent with the
organisations goals’.

Heiss (2005) described ENFPs as pleasant at work, easy going and

brain storming exercises. They do quickly become bored if more interesting
projects come along and they
procrastinate with hard deadlines and boring, mundane tasks.

By understanding team member’s preferences, for example using the
Myer Briggs Type Indicator, I can now tailor my approach and discussion so as
to maximise the level of understanding and minimise misunderstanding or
conflict within the team or other situations as they come to hand (Briggs
Myers, 1993).
