This week, we explored the knowledge component of the DIKW model. Concepts included:

• foundations of knowledge,
• the impact of patterns and contexts on knowing, and
• the role of probabilities in decision making,
• the application of knowledge to finding evidence for practice, benchmarking, and compliance reporting.

Select one of these concepts for further consideration. Relate how you, as an INS in a clinical setting, would help nursing colleagues effectively apply a sub-concept from the selected area to their practice.
