I agree the War of 1812 is incredibly significant for American and even European history. The final outcome would lay the foundations for the expansion of the new American nation across the continent with very little interference from England, France or Spain. Even Mexico would eventually fall to American expansion. Why do you think that this very important historical event has been so often overlooked in American history though?
