Unit III focuses
heavily on tariffs and non-tariff trade barriers. For this assignment, you are
asked to prepare a minimum 500-word essay discussing the following content:
• Define tariff
and the different types of tariffs.
• Identify and
discuss the major nontariff barriers to trade.
• Justify the use
of trade barriers.
• Using a real
life example, explain the effects tariffs and other trade barriers have had on
social welfare in a country of your choosing.
• Identify any
unfair trade practices that have been reported in your chosen country, if any.
Your assignment
must:
• Be a minimum of
500 words.
• Identify timely
and relevant content from an external source and apply it to one of the key
concepts presented.
• Be typed,
double-spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on
all sides; citations and references must follow APA format.

professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the
