Case Study/Behaviorist aApproach
CASE: A child that you are working with is four years old
and has not had much discipline from his parents. He is out of control and will
not listen to any authority figures. He throws temper tantrums when someone
tells him what to do and will scream at the top of his lungs if he does not
like something. He will be entering school soon and the school will not allow
him in the class with this behaviour.

QUESTIONS: How, specifically, would the behaviourist
approach to this child differ from other psychological models?

Using the principles of behavioural theory what would be the
goals of treatment, and how would you respond to this situation?

Explain the steps you would take to work with this child.
Make sure that you explain each step in detail. Finally, what are the strengths
and weaknesses of your particular approach to this case study?
