- Select one of the three theorists—Erikson, Piaget, or Kohlberg—as the subject of your Discussion post. Consider how you might change your theorist’s dominant theory on stages of growth to make it more applicable to non-Western cultures.
By Day 3
Post a response in which you do the following:
- Identify the theorist you chose (i.e., Kohlberg, Erikson, or Piaget) and, briefly summarize his main theory on human development and stages of growth.
- Analyze to what degree the theory applies across cultures. Be specific and illustrate your explanation with examples. (Be sure your examples are not just about you or your children.)
- Explain one change you would make to the theory to make it more applicable outside of a Western context, and share your reasoning.
