1. Discuss “Social Determinants of Health.” What does that mean? How has that informed or changed the way you look at health care from the macro (i.e. wider, societal) or policy point of view.
2. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and American Health Care Act (Trumpcare) reflect highly contentious debate on government’s role in providing health care services for its citizens. In your opinion, is having equitable access to health care services a right or a privilege of a citizen? What should be the role of the government in ensuring its citizens to have equal access to affordable health care services? How so and why?
