Ms.Tara Parker-Pope, of the Wall Street Journal, reported on
that American families should not think schools safe from dietary woes just
because Coke is being removed. In her article,The Good News: No More Coke in
School The Bad News? Snapple Is Replacing It, points out that Snapple has just
as many calories and sugar as Pepsi. The schools are in a bind as they make
money off of the vending machines yet what is their responsibility to the 2/3
of overweight Americans? What are schools serving up for lunch? Does the
community see this as a health issue?
