Social damage often occurs after a disaster. A disaster is an event, generally unexpected, that causes extensive harm to people and damage to property. Disasters can be natural, technological, or intentional.

In March 2011, an earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster occured in Japan. This event includes two types of disasters. Although the total effects of these disasters may not be realized for years, immediate effects can be identified.

  • Identify two ways in which the disaster will affect the Japanese people as a whole, or the entire population of the planet.
  • Physical damage is often easy to see at the beginning of a disaster. Social damage occurs slowly and is not as evident. What social damage is evident to you in this disaster? Give examples. Justify your responses.

Include references to the text material and other scholarly resources. Be sure to respond with your original response. Your response should be at least 3 pages long. Kindly answer each question seperately.
