Assess the influence of broad environmental and cultural factors on child development using Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory as a framework.
Intervention:
- Identify possible theory- and/or research-based alternatives for intervention that are relevant to your specialization or area of professional interest.
- Apply one or two lifespan developmental theories that you feel are most applicable to the case and the child’s present stage of development. For example:
- Erikson’s theory of identity development.
- Kohlberg’s theory of moral development.
- Piaget’s or Vygotsky’s theory of cognitive development.
- Assess the efficacy of the intervention process and the documentation for evaluating success.
