I need to expand my research more regarding NextGen Air Transportation System Infrastructure and Single-Pilot-Operations and the human factor challenges involved in the coming future. This study will investigate and examine tools and provide basic and already applied research analysis of automation systems required to be fulfilled by NextGen. Furthermore this study will examine the human capabilities and limitations that are likely to be affected by the automation involved in Single-Pilot-Operation flight decks and the implementation of NextGen.
Will future flight decks and next generation air traffic operations cover the work covered by two pilots be also safely allocated to Single-Pilot-Operations and if not, how can it be covered? What are the tools and methods that can be used in Single-Pilot-Operations in order to enhance interaction between human – automation interfaces and improve human performance capabilities.
Lastly, the tools and methods presented in the study will examine potential ways to minimize human errors as well as increase the overall safety in the system.
This literature review paper should include 5 sections and be no more than 9 pages long.
