Read Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: 2016 Update. Open IPEC( the first) — then go to the “4 COMPETENCIES” on page 10 and scroll through– for sub-comps, on pages 11-14, you will see each is identified with a letter & number** which must be included in your paper** For ex, “RR10”.
Explore the 4 core competencies of Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC): Values/Ethics for Interprofessional Practice, Roles/Responsibilities, Interprofessional Communication, Team and Teamwork.
Address the following:
What do these competencies mean to you?
How will learning about interprofessional collaboration influence your practice?
Select 2 sub-competencies on pages 11-14 in IPEC (include their letters/numbers) from each core competency and provide examples of how you will incorporate them into your daily nursing practice.
Write a 500- to 700-word summary of your answers to the question above. Include examples of incorporating the sub-competencies into your work.
**Its OK to use “I”, “my” etc ‘first person’ words, as your professional experiences are being asked**
