First, with your own Gregorc learning style (and
characteristics) in mind,(my learning
style is Abstract Random learner) write about how you might go about
planning a trip to Europe.
What steps would you take to figure out where in Europe you
will go?
How will you get there?
What will you do once you get there?
Will you plan an itinerary prior to departure?
How will you decide what you will see?
What about hotels and reservations?
What sorts of logistical decisions will you make?
Who will you take with you?
After thinking through and writing what may seem to be a
natural process for you, I’d like you to next write about how someone with a
Gregorc learning style completely different from your own might go about the
same task. Using the above questions as a guide, choose a learning style
different from yours and describe how a person with that learning style might
plan a trip to Europe.
Finally, write a 1 paragraph summary of what you have
discovered from planning a trip using your Gregorc learning preference and that
of another. What have you realized or
recognized that will remain with you as a teacher? How will you use this
information in your classroom?
You may organize this assignment however you wish (bulleted
lists, paragraphs, notes, etc.) and there are no length limitations. Be sure to
respond using your own learning style based on the Gregorc delineator you
completed AND a different learning style.
